Awards/Promotions Guidelines

1. Proposing awards/promotions

1. Every member within The Conclave can propose another member of the community to be honoured with a particular award/promotion. The member who brings forth the idea must bear two things in mind:

The member must contact the person(s) that can deal out the award/promotion in private (IRC, TS or e-mail):

- The Conclave award: Directors
- House award/promotion: House (Vice) Senator
- Guild award: Guild (Vice) Ambassador

2. The reasons for the nomination should be given in proper writing so all involved can see and understand why the nominated member would deserve a particular award/promotion. Failing to give such a proper overview of reasons will result in the award/promotion not being granted to the member.

2. Granting awards

Ambassadors
Ambassadors must verify through Vice Ambassadors, if present, whether the particular proposed Guild award would be justified. If no Vice-Ambassador exists within the Guild the Ambassador must consult one or more members within his Guild. The Ambassadors have the final say in whether or not a Guild award is granted.

Senators
Senators are advised to suggest the proposed House award(s)/promotion(s) at the end of the weekly Senate meeting in a private session with the other House Senators. This consultation is mandatory in order to make sure that the Senator receives the feedback minimally needed to come to a solid overview of reasons why the award/promotion will be given. The Senator who proposed the award/promotion has the final say in whether or not it will be dealt out.

Directors
Directors suggest the proposed Conclave general award(s) at the end of the weekly Directors meeting in a private session. For a Conclave general award to be granted all Directors must agree with the proposal.
