| Punishment Table + Guidelines |
| Code: | Trivial Light Heavy Critical
--------------------------------------
Warning Y Y N N
Kick Y Y N N
Ban N Y Y Y
Exclusion N N N Y
Probation N N Y Y |
Basically an N = no and a Y = yes....A Warning or Kick is to be considered Trivial or Light punishment. A Ban can be Light, Heavy or Critical. An exclusion would be Critical.
Moderators can give out Trivial or Light punishments and can reccomend higher punishments in the form of a violation report to the Council who would then take over the case.
Notes
Warnings are given whenever a member is carrying out actions that go against the Code Conduct. Basically some one is doing something wrong and you ask them to stop.
Kicks happen when a warning has not been heeded, the person gets kicked and the person doing the kick highlights the reason.
Bans can be administered instantly should the action of member be deemed sufficient enough to merit it, they can also be administered if a member fails to heed warnings and kicks.
Revoking a member's moderatorship capabilities can take place should a member’s violations be connected to his postion as a moderator.
Exclusions can occur when a member has crossed the line in such a serious way that his membership of CC is revoked entirely.
Repeat Offences
Repeated warnings, kicks or bans will result in the offender facing a higher charge with a consequently higher punishment.
Punishment Levels
Trivial - Warning and Kick speak for themselves. Can be administered by any moderator. Can also be given by the Council.
Minor Ban – Up to 7 days. Can be administered by any moderator. Can also be given by the Council. A recommendation for a longer ban can be sent to the Council in the form of a Violation report. The Council would then take over the case.
Major Ban – Up to 30 days. Must be handled by the Council.
Critical Ban – Up to 3 months. Must be handled by the Council
Exclusion – Must be handled by the Council.
Probation – Probation can be added to any punishment if the Council feels it is necessary i.e. the offender has to be on his best behaviour in order to prove his willingness to remain in the Conclave and behave according to the Code of Conduct.
Small sidenote
As can be seen in the punishment table a number of punishments can be dealt out by a moderator.
The following three additional rules should be monitored with regard to these particular punishments!
1. The punishment can ONLY be initiated on the medium on which the punished violation was committed.
2. No other moderator is allowed to undo a punishment without the exclusive permission of the person who dealt out the punishment UNLESS the Council decides that the punishment was an illegitimate action (should the punished person file an appeal).
3. No person, when kicked or banned or when present during a kick or ban, who has moderator rights of any sorts (forum, IRC, Teamspeak or game server) may use these rights to “get even” with the person who performed the respective kick or ban. |
