Marshall

The Marshall is the leader of House Eclipse and as such functions as one of the Senators in The Conclave. He has a seat in The Conclave Senate and helps to maintain order and discipline both in his own House as well as in The Conclave as a whole. The Marshall, due to years and years of experience as well as thorough training at The House Eclipse Tactical Military Academy, has extensive knowledge of both military tactics and military hardware of any known kind. The operatives within House Eclipse who bear the rank of General are mostly elite troops who have been granted this rank due to their high success rate while carrying out the most dangerous of missions within enemy territory. In the absence of the Marshall one of the most experienced of these Officers is temporarily appointed to take control of all of the daily operations in order to maintain an adequate level of security both in House Eclipse and The Conclave. While being in charge he is granted access to most of the Marshall’s secret codes and privileges. Nevertheless, some matters are only allowed to be handled by the Marshall himself and these will be put on non-active until his return. Under normal conditions the General has a security clearance of Level 4B for all buildings such as the shooting ranges, armoury and the House Eclipse Tactical Military Academy. Colonel
|
Colonels are House Eclipse operatives who mainly function as advisers for the group of elite operatives with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel who operate in the field, deep within territory controlled by forces hostile towards The Conclave-doctrine. Due to their advising role they need to posses extensive knowledge of all available equipment and the combat readiness of both Eclipse as well as enemy troops. This information comes to them both by reports from previous missions and reconnaissance carried out by Eclipse-operatives as well as through the use of an extensive network of Hawkeye-class spy satellites. When on a mission Colonels usually travel alongside the operatives they support, be it from a safe distance, onboard Observer-class recon ships. Lieutenant Colonel

Always and only operate in the field. Either as spies within the ranks of the enemies of House Eclipse or behind enemy lines. They are the masters of spreading negative propaganda and feeding the enemies as much disinformation as it is possible, at the same time remembering to hide their true identity. They are the only ones that carry a lethal poison capsule with them if it had to come to the worst.
Lieutenant Colonel is often called the "suicide" rank by all the operatives form level 1, but at the same time it is also the most admired rank from all the ranks with security clearance 3B. Manual Promotion Only |

Brigadier
|
Brigadier - only great technical minds with the very best knowledge of mechanical, electronic and civil engineering can become Brigadiers. Brigadiers sole responsibility is to make sure that all weapons, vehicles, defence mechanisms, computer back up is in the best possible order. It is up to him to double check that everything that can break or stop working, is 100% operational and reliable whether in battle or during the defence of our House. Even though most of his time is spent in the headquarters, his is directly responsible for the safety and lives of all House Eclipse operatives regardless of rank. Major
|
Member of the Senior Officer class has clearance level 3D. Supervises and gives guidance to all Captains in respect of leading larger groups of Eclipse operatives into combat. Majors are responsible for assessing the doings of all Captains and give them constructive, practical feedback in order to improve the field operations. Majors, over the years, have gained the necessary knowledge of how to approach all types people and how to deal and solve inter - personal problems within House Eclipse operatives. They are a great asset to the military core, as it is up to them to make sure that no inter - personal conflicts arise. Manual Promotion Only |

Captain
|
Operatives who serve the House Eclipse under the rank of Captain are the first of the Senior Officer-class. They mainly function as Mentors at the House Eclipse Tactical Military Academy, while preparing for the exams in order to become part of the Commander-class and lead larger groups of Eclipse-operatives during a variety of missions. As such they have a great deal of time to transfer great portions of their extensive knowledge regarding field operations to new operatives who have signed up at the Academy. Because they have been part of the Officer-core for quite some time, this knowledge is more based on tactics on a larger scale such as group formations and less on direct personal tactics and information regarding the most efficient deployment of available weapon technology and the improvement of personal fighting techniques. Lieutenant
|
Operatives with the rank of Lieutenant are the highest rank officers with Level 2A clearance. Lieutenants mostly fulfil the role of communications Officer for the groups of operatives to which they have been assigned and are trained extensively to intercept and decode enemy transmissions as well as keeping contact with Eclipse or Conclave High Command while minimizing the chance of enemy detection as much as possible. They are also trained to actively hack into enemy computer systems when needed, making use of their extensive knowledge such as they have managed to acquire by many years of active service. Due to the nature of their work Lieutenants seldom work in teams but prefer operating alone to reduce the risk of discovery as much as possible. Their primary task is to function as bodyguards for these Lieutenants or Captains under who they normally serve. Ensign
|
Ensigns have security clearance level 2C. All Ensigns must take an oath of secrecy regarding the contents of the inner-workings of House Eclipse Headquarters. Ensigns also have a role that is mixed between overseeing the cadet-class as well as learning valuable applications for demonstration throughout the Officer class of their time in the House Eclipse. Chief Warrant Officer

Sergeant First Class
|
Sergeant First class, is the highest rank within Clearance level 1. That is with clearance level “1A”. However, this clearance is restricted to the Armoury and all buildings and facilities connected to the training grounds. When not on a mission for their House most of the Sergeants First Class spend their time trying out new weapon concepts, such as thought out by the Eclipse Tech Department along with the help of some of the Junior Lieutenants or other operatives who have shown a skill in weapon design. The Sergeants First Class are also in charge of the actual daily practical trainings such as sniper practise, close quarters combat and a variety of martial arts for use in unarmed man to man combat. The most experienced of the Sergeants First Class additionally functions as an assistant to the Warrant Officer in order to make sure any irregularities are reported. Time : 24 Months Service |

Staff Sergeant
|
Staff Sergeants, being the lowest ranking operatives within the Cadet-class, are given the opportunity for the first time to choose a particular specialisation in the use of a specific weapon type. The Sergeant is the highest ranking member of the Trainee-class and as a result has the privilege to undertake missions on his own for the first time, though these are limited to missions of the more standard variety such as observing enemy troop movements and overhearing radio traffic. At no particular moment in time may Lance Sergeants engage into active combat with enemy troops and they may only fire unless fired upon first. When discovered, they are always directly ordered to retreat to a more defensive and safer position and wait for backup to arrive. Corporal

Although operatives with the rank of Corporal have the same security clearances as those with the rank of Private, this being Level 1E, they do have a wider range of responsibilities. Apart from the standard daily mandatory training sessions, guard duties and following lectures at the House Eclipse Tactical Military Academy the Corporals are the lowest ranking operatives who are allowed to carry out actual missions in the field. However, they always serve under the direct guidance and command of a Senior Officer, who must minimally bear the rank of Ensign or above. Although Corporals are thus allowed to prove their specific skills in the field their missions always remain limited to low-risk operations such as transporting prisoners from the Citadel to other facilities or questioning these prisoners to extract more information that can be used by other operatives during their missions. Private First Class
|
Operatives who enlist at the House Eclipse Tactical Military Academy and thus have signed up to become members of House Eclipse follow an introduction course after which they receive the rank of Private 1st Class. They are only granted the lowest security clearances, which are all those of Level 1F. As such they are allowed access to all standard facilities at the Academy, or only certain departments thereof, that have the same clearance level. These include the armoury as well as the various shooting ranges. Privates are not yet allowed to actually carry out real operations to support the causes and aims of House Eclipse and as a result The Conclave. Instead, they spend their time mainly on standing guard duty at the various House Eclipse facilities as well as increasing their skills by practising at the target range or by following lectures about a variety of tactics and technologies at the Academy. All operatives who first decide to join the Eclipse Tactical Military Academy must first complete a rigorous introductory program to make sure the recruits are really and willing for the best and worst parts of the academy. Throughout this month, the operatives have no security clearance and must be escorted at all times. There are also no luxuries permitted for House Eclipse recruits, leaving them exposed to the most harsh month of their lives.
