| The Most Radiant Heart |
|
| |
General Information
The chalice, known as The Most Radiant Heart, is the most sacred artifact of House Cala’Dai for any of its members and only given to those who have shown for several years in a variety of fields (recruiting, creation of artwork/stories, organisation of tournaments etc.) to be truly loyal to House Cala’Dai and all that it represents.
Award History
The chalice known as The Most Radiant Heart is a chalice which contains the still beating heart of a Phoenix that is sustained for eternity by powerful magic. Its creator’s name has been lost in the mists of time though there are historical references that refer to the chalice’s creator as The Lightbringer. The relic eradiates a mysterious and powerful glow which reveals to its carrier and protector, though only in a limited 60-feet radius, illusions of any kind and level. As a result the chalice is highly potent as a weapon against certain aliens, demons, half-demons or other unsavioury creatures alike who tend to feel at home in larger cities and prefer to assume humanoid form in order to carry out their acts of terror while remaining undetected. The chalice itself is virtually indestructable as it is protected by several powerful protective spells. Replicas of this exceptional artifact have been the number one award of House Cala’Dai ever since the original was discovered eons ago and now are used throughout the Multiverse to help Cala’Dai-agents to achieve their mission objectives.

| Nagaroth's Tooth |
|
| |
General Information
Nagaroth’s Tooth is given to House Cala’Dai operatives who have shown to possess visionairy qualities in many of their actions and activities that benefit House Cala’Dai in particular and The Conclave as a whole. Actions for which this award is granted can include the display of leadership in a variety of fields such as organizing competitions, events, guiding new members, submitting new ideas, promoting activity, helping to maintain an overall pleasant atmosphere etc.
Award History
The half-demon Nagaroth had terrorized the city of Larn for many years until he was ultimately vanguished in an epic fight by a group of adventurers. It was the adventurer’s quest to retrieve a stolen magical chalice, known as The most Radiant Heart, which had been stolen from the Larn temple of Arlakgron by Nagaroth years before. The chalice, which functioned as a portal to the Realm of Demons, was originally meant as powerful weapon against creatures from the demonworld. Having stolen it, Nagaroth could wield a weapon powerful enough to destroy anyone who dare oppose him. After his ultimate defeat various parts of the demon were used to create powerful magical relics. Although the teeth have been extracted from the beast’s maw many year’s ago, under the influence of dark magic, they continue to drip poison which seems to have a hallucinating effect on whomever receives a non-lethal dose in their bloodstream. Any person cutting himself with the tooth is granted the ability to receive visionairy images. When correctly interpreted the person cut is able to foretell the future to a lesser or greater degree. The length, clearness and subject of the vision as well as the amount of damage sustained during the procedure is determined by the operative’s physical strength and any additional factors such as natural or magical resistance against poisons. The chance of correctly interpreting the visions and drawing solid conclusions from them is determined by the operative’s ability for logical thought as well as his overall life experience and general insight.

| Jade Skull |
|
| |
General Information
The Jade Skull is presented to members of House Cala’Dai who have continuously shown the ability to inspire other members with new ideas within The Conclave and to help them with the overall implementation of these ideas. As such this award can for example be granted to members who have made suggestions about how to improve certain procedures within a Guild, House or The Conclave as a whole, have helped with the setup of a certain competition either within The Conclave itself or against another community, have recruited and guided new members etc.
Award History
Many years ago, long before any of the Houses or The Conclave as a whole was created, a Cleric and follower of the god Tyr by the name of Dranzig Uskuth had been killed. He sacrifised himself in an epic battle with the evil Drow-mage Irae’kiira’ate by casting a powerful spell that bound their spirits and banished them both to the Realm of the Dead forever preventing Irae and his following of cultists to envelope the world in eternal darkness. Citizens of the city of Muria found Dranzig’s body after the clash and buried it on the local graveyard with all usual honours. When years later his grave was opened, as his body was to be moved to the city of Neverwinter where Dranzig was born, it was discovered that the grave was empty. Instead, only a jade skull was found which since then has become the personal symbol of this Cleric who managed to inspire and motivate people even in the darkest of times. The House Cala’Dai Jade Skull is an exact replica of this jade skull which is now kept as a relic in the Temple of Tyr in Neverwinter.

| Rings of Servitude |
|
| |
General Information
The Rings of Servitude are based on the rings that were worn by the first members of House Cala'Dai, who had received them as a gift from some of the best Elven artists. They are given to any member based on the time they have spent as an operative working for House Cala'Dai. The Ring of Servitude comes in five distinctly different different types, ranging from the silver Half-year Ring to the solid golden Five-year Ring with a topaz.
Award History
During a period in which The Conclave was still struggling for survival against outside enemy threats (by many Cala’Dai members simply referred to as “The time of troubles”) the Elven members of House Cala’Dai crafted a number of special rings. These rings had the ability to boost the energy and morale of whomever wore them, thus helping members to increase their selfconfidence and the chances of succes in whatever missions they undertook. Later on these rings were made available to all members based on their years os service and to honour their dedication. Many members within House Cala’Dai therefore regard their Service Rings to be one of the most if not the most precious possessions.

| Symbol of the Traveller |
|
| |
General Information
The Symbol of the Traveller is granted to House Cala’Dai operatives who, by their correct actions towards members in The Conclave itself or those of other communities, have shown the ability to function as ambassadors of all that The Conclave stands for. The award can be granted for a number of things such as having a positive influence on the overall atmosphere on the forum, IRC, ingame situations etc. The medallion can be regarded as a token of appreciation only given to members who, by their overall behaviour, stand as a prime example of polite and correct behaviour towards members, visitors, potential new recruits or opponents from other communities.
Award History
The original Symbol of the Traveller was a medallion given by a regent, by the name of Andamaor, to a mysterious stranger who had undertaken actions to restore the peace between Andamaor’s city of Tiaka and the hostile neighbouring city of Wadul. To express the renewed friendship, both cities agreed to use the scene depicted on the medallion as the symbol by which the two cities would be identified from that day on. The medallion shows the figure of a messenger alongside a mythical winged horse, thus symbolising the nature of the activities of an ambassador attempting to establish friendly relations wherever his travels may lead him. Several members of House Cala’Dai had brought along similar medallions which led to the decision of making it an official Cala’Dai award, as it formed an inspirational symbolic representation of the House’s long term aims and goals.

| Orders of the Silver and Gold Eagle |
|
| |
General Information
The Orders of the Silver and Golden Eagle are granted to House Cala’Dai members who have shown determination and thoroughness in creating quality topics on the forum, typing useful and thorough replies to existing topics, aptly answering people’s questions in IRC or in ingame situations etc. Whether the Silver or Golden Eagle is granted to a member is determined by the amount of activity displayed on the various boards, in IRC, ingame etc. and the overall quality of the replies and explanations.
Award History
To increase the overall quality of the communication within House Cala’Dai shortly after its creation it was decided that some kind of an incentive was needed. Thus to assure that House-members would deliver work of a higher quality, when it concerned the flow of information from members towards the House Senator and The Founders, the Orders of the Silver and Golden Eagle were created. The Orders show a screaming eagle with two bolts of lightning between its claws as it is diving down from the high skies, thus symbolising the attempts of House Cala’Dai-members to be as goal-directed as a bird of prey hunting its target.

| Flowers of Inspiration |
|
| |
General Information
The Flowers of Inspiration are granted by the Senator to members within House Cala’Dai who have shown to possess creative skills in a variety of departments. To distinguish between smaller and larger projects being undertaken two different awards have been implemented. The Minor Flower of Inspiration (left) is usually given for the somewhat smaller undertakings such as the writing of roleplaying stories whereas the Major Flower of Inspiration (right) is given for the larger projects such as the creation of websites, mods for games etc. It is up to the Senator to decide whether the size of a creative work requests a Minor or Major Flower of Inspiration to be given.
Award History
The lack of a House Cala’Dai award to be granted to members for their moments of creativity was first noted several years after the House’s creation by a dwarven Druid by the name of Brun Hurkdarr. He ordered the construction of two wall ornaments, similar in shape and colour to his druidic order’s symbol, which were crafted in the hellish fires of the dwarven forges on Mount Driade near The Conclave’s capital of Dorkan. The awards are made from a secret dwarven alloy which is exceptionally thin and makes it look like glass. When the awards were presented as a gift to the House Cala’Dai Senator they were immediately produced in greater numbers and taken up as official awards for it was understood that keeping a high morale among the Cala’Dai operatives was of primary importance.

| Bloodstone Bracelet |
|
| |
General Information
The Bloodstone Bracelet is the House Cala’Dai recruitment award and is given for the persuasion of five new Conclave-members to strengthen the House Cala’Dai ranks. The award is given only once by the Senator to the recruiter, as additional members recruited by a person who has already acquired the bracelet are indicated by additional loose Bloodstones. Only truly active new members will be counted when determining whether the Bracelet, or additional loose Bloodstones, should be handed to a recruiting member.
Award History
When dwarven members of House Cala’Dai dug mines in the mountains to the north of the Conclave-city of Tezan they discovered rich veins of an until then unknown red gem. These stones were not only extremely hard and shiny but also had the exceptional ability to function as recepticles for the storage of magical energy. Nowadays these jewels are used throughout The Conclave for numerous things such as to boost the abilities of all sorts of armour, weapons and energyshields. However, in the case of the Bloodstone Bracelet the gems have been enchanted with the ability to raise both the perception as well as the charisma of the wearer in order to increase his chances of persuading new Conclave-members to join the House Cala’Dai ranks.
